Account holdings

Track the stocks, ETFs, funds, and crypto inside an account with live prices. Optional.

Adding a holding

  1. Open the account → Edit → turn on Track Holdings → Save.
  2. On the account’s page, tap the empty Allocation card.
  3. Tap + (top right) and search by ticker or name (e.g. AAPL, VTSAX, BTC-USD).
  4. Enter the Quantity, or type the Market Value to fill it in, then Add Holding.

To add more later, tap the Allocation card on the account’s page, then +.

Cash

Enter uninvested money, like a brokerage’s settlement or sweep balance, in the Cash field at the top of the same screen. It’s counted in the account’s market value and shows as Cash on the allocation map. Clear it to remove it.

Prices and search come from Yahoo Finance.

  • Stocks, including many international exchanges
  • ETFs and mutual funds
  • Money market funds
  • Crypto, like BTC-USD or ETH-USD

Bonds, options, futures, and indexes can’t be added. For those, track the account’s balance instead.

When prices update

  • When you open the Dashboard or an account’s holdings, if prices are more than 30 minutes old
  • When you tap ↻ on the Portfolio Allocation card, or Updated… at the bottom of the holdings list (once every 5 minutes)

The last prices are saved on your device, so values still show offline. Mutual funds price once a day after the market closes, so their day change shows – during trading hours.

Sync to Account

Holdings don’t change the account balance on their own. Tap Sync to Account to record today’s market value as a balance.

Portfolio Allocation

A Dashboard card that shows all your holdings as a tree map: one rectangle per group, sized by how much money is in it. Bigger rectangles are bigger parts of your portfolio.

  • Color is today’s move: green for up, red for down, and stronger the bigger the move. Cash and money market funds are blue.
  • Groups start by sector, like Technology or Crypto. ETFs and funds group by their category.
  • % or $: tap the day change at the top to switch every rectangle between percent and amount.
  • Drill down: tap a sector to see the individual holdings inside it. Tap ‹ to go back.
  • Preview: tap a holding to see its price, quantity, market value, and day change.

The card includes accounts for the people you’ve selected. Each account with holdings also has its own Allocation map on its page, grouped by holding.
